On the other hand, LVL 1.1 million of additional funding will be allocated to the Environment and Regional Development Ministry.
Public media will be allocated LVL 250,000 of additional funding, whilst the Ombudsman Bureau will be given LVL 100,000.
The government also plans to collect LVL 7.3 million from the new speed camera network, that is to be implemented in the coming weeks.
Finance Minister Andris Vilks (Unity) emphasized that no major tax changes will be made during the consolidation process this year, thus the 2012 budget will not come as a shock for residents.
