RIGA, Jan 24 (LETA) - Total central government and local government debt in 2010 increased LVL 785.92 million or 18.3 percent, reaching LVL 5.08 billion at the end of last year, according to State Treasury's information.
Latvia's internal debt was LVL 796.05 million at end-December, or 111.9 million less than at the beginning of 2010. External debt, on the other hand, was LVL 4.146 billion - LVL 885.2 million more than at the beginning of last year.
Central government debt stood at LVL 4.94 billion at the end of last year, LVL 773.3 million up from the beginning of 2010, whereas local government debt totaled LVL 534.9 million, an increase of LVL 39.5 million.
The data from the State Treasury also show that in December 2010 government consolidated budget revenue was LVL 413.5 million, expenditure - LVL 776.1 million, making a financial deficit of LVL 362.7 million.
In twelve months of 2010 the government consolidated budget revenue was LVL 4.607 billion, expenditure - LVL 5.409 billion, accordingly the financial deficit reached LVL 802.7 million.
In December 2010 central government basic budget revenue was LVL 213.6 million, expenditure - LVL 601.8 million, as a result the financial deficit was LVL 388.2 million. In twelve months of 2010 central government basic budget revenue was 2.622 billion, expenditure - LVL 3.198 billion, making a financial deficit of LVL 576 million.
In December 2010 central government special budget revenue was LVL 113.4 million, expenditure - LVL 123 million, but financial deficit - LVL 9.5 million. In twelve months of 2010 central government special budget revenue was LVL 1.178 billion, expenditure - LVL 1.513 billion, accordingly the financial deficit was LVL 335.8 million.
Together the revenue of central government consolidated budget (excluding grants and donations, and public derived persons) in twelve months of 2010 was LVL 3.778 billion, expenditure - LVL 4.690 billion, and the financial deficit - LVL 911.7 million.
In December 2010 local government consolidated budget revenue was LVL 189.2 million, expenditure - LVL 173.2 million, and the financial balance was LVL 16 million.
In twelve months of 2010 local government consolidated budget revenue was LVL 1.316 billion, expenditure - LVL 1.264 billion, and the financial balance - LVL 52.5 million.
